Phone Followup is the brilliant creation of Joel Therien, Mike Potvin, Mark Call and Ken Hammond. The genious behind the scenes is one of the best programmers in he world who's name shall remain silent :-) (we wouldn't want someone else trying to steal our programmer, now would we?).

How does it work?

Well, as you know, email marketing is still one of the best ways to build your business online. You may also be aware that email marketing alone can be ineffective.

Imagine this ... your visitor subscribes to your list from your website and immediately receives a personal voice message OR ... a personal TEXT MESSAGE from YOU!

Statistics tell us that 95% of people who have cell phones, read their text messages right away ... compared to 22% of email readers!

I'm sure by now you can see how Phone Followup can enhance your results and really build that 'Know, Like Trust' factor.

Setting up Phone Followup is so simple, anyone can do it, regardless of your experience.

Best part of Phone Followup to me is that it is connected directly to my GVO eResponder (You can also choose Aweber or GetResponse - my choice is GVO).

Below, I will walk you through the steps to setup your Phone Followup account to connect to GVO eResponder and to promote Earth Friendly Biz (you can replace EFB with your main program).

In this exercise, our focus is going to be on TEXT MESSAGES only. If you wish to use the Voice messages, you will need to record or upload a recorded message.

STEP ONE: Signup for Phone Followup

Once registered, check your email to confirm your account. You must confirm your account to gain access.

RECOMMENDATION: I suggest you use a Gmail account to register with Phone Followup.

STEP TWO: Purchase Credits

From inside your Phone Followup members area, click on Buy Credits at the top of the page. You will have three options to choose from.

Voice Followup
Text Followup
Voice & Text Followup

You can try the entire system for 30 days for just $4.95. After 30 days, you will pay $49.95 for either Text or Voice followup or $69.95 for the Text/Voice system.

STEP THREE: Verify your caller ID number

You will need to enter your phone number (Cell Phone) into the system. This is the number that your recipient will see for return messages. It's really simple. Just enter your cell phone number then wait for the message from your phone and enter the code supplied.

STEP FOUR: Setup Your Auto-Responder Campaign

Since we are focused only on the use of Text messaging in this review, we will skip the Recording of a Voice message and go directly to setting up your Text Campaign.

You will need to set aside a bit of time for this section as you will need to setup your Autoresponder campaign as well.

Login to your GVO back office at http://www.gogvo.com/affiliates (if you are not a member of GVO, you can join here http://janetlegere.gogvo.com)

Click on the eResponder icon on the left.

Click on Campaigns, Add a Campaign.

In this example, I am calling my campaign EFB as I am going to use this to direct people to our Earth Friendly Biz funded sponsoring system.

When setting up my campaign, I set my redirect URL to Step 2 of our EFB system as our visitor has already filled out a form. You will set your redirect URL to the program or business website you are promoting.

Once your campaign is added, you need to setup the Optin Message and your Followup message.

EXAMPLE OF OPTIN MESSAGE

and subscribing for more info.

What would you like to name your campaign?

Enter something relevant to your campain. In this example, I am setting up a campaign for Earth Friendly Biz so I entered EFB as my campaign name. You will call it something relative to your business or service that you are offering.

Click Next

Enter Text To Send In Welcome Message?

This is where you enter your text message that your subscriber will receive on their cell phone. You have 100 characters.

What Page Do You Want To Send Them To After They Optin?

This is where you put the website you want your subscriber to visit. In this example, I am sending them to step 2 of our three step system

Which Auto-Responder Do You Want To Add?

Now you can choose between three separate professional autoresponders. GVO, Getresponse and Aweber. We are choosing GVO. Setup for GetResponse and Aweber will be similar. We recommend you join GVO through your sponsor once inside your Phone Followup system.

Select GVO from the drop down menu

Enter your GVO username (mine is janetlegere)
Enter your GVO Campaign name (mine is called EFB) NOTE: it must be EXACT!

Click Submit

You will be presented with a Form Code to add to your website. Simply copy it and paste it to your Text Widget on your blog, to the html of a blog post or to the html of your static website.

We are adding it to our Earth Friendly Biz blog. If you are using Wordpress (easy to setup with GVO), it is very simple to add a Text widget with your form code to your Blog.

1. Login to GVO members area at http://www.gogvo.com/affiliates

2. Click on eResponder icon on the left sidebar

3. Click on Campaigns

4. Click on Add a Campaign

5. Call the Campaign TrafficLeadsAndSales

6. Under email settings, enter your Name, main email address and the email address to which you wish to receive your notifications of new subsribers

This little gem has been hiding out in my marketing portfolio, working away in the background even as I ignore the poor thing.

Orange Leads is one of those programs that I joined and setup and ... well ... forgot about.

You know how it is when you get busy and things get left behind.

Throughout the past year, I've received regular commissions from Orange Leads as well as regular contacts from other Orange Leads members.

Today, my annual membership came due and it reminded me to take a good long look at Orange Leads and what I found ... literally surprised me.

I've been clicking around and checking things out and well, frankly ... I can't imagine why everyone isn't using this great resource!

You need leads ... You need to talk to people ... You need contact with people ... You need people contacting you. And that is exactly what I am experiencing at the Orange Leads system.

I went in yesterday and added a few friends and sent a few messages and I connected with three LIVE people who added me to skype. One signed up in my business.

When the leads come up, I get their email address and I add them to my Skype list. I send them a request from Skype to connect with me. So far, I see 3 to 6 of every 10 leads I invite, add me to skype.

Once you have someone on Skype, you can have a conversation ... in text OR in voice! You can begin the important relationship building process and help your new lead get to know, like and trust you.

Another way to connect with people is through other Orange Leads members ... you can join in the public chat, add new friends and use Orange Leads as a social network environment.

As a member of Orange Leads, you will have the ability to setup your ads within the system. Depending on your level of membership, you will receive a lot of traffic to your ads.

This is only a light dusting of how to use Orange Leads, I highly recommend listening to Timothy's training ... he does a great job teaching you how to use Orange Leads.

Add in my little tips and you will have a very active place that is continually producing active leads.

Program Review: Traffic Zipper

For the last several years, we have been seeing a lot of "list builder" type programs hit the net. Programs like ListJoe, TheListAuction, DownlineBuilderDirect, List-Twister, ListBandit, ListDotCom, ListJumper, ListQuik, MyViralSurfer, TheListAuction, ViralAdsDepot, ViralAdStore, ViralAdsUnleashed, ViralUrl ...

I use these lists regularly and when I do, it's a process to send my ads to each list. While it does not take hours to do, it does take a good hour!

Until now that is!

Michael Purvis, the genious behind TheListAuction has release a program that takes all the pain away.

Traffic Zipper does just that ... it makes your marketing ZIPPY DOODLE easy!

One click, one send and your ad goes out to all your lists!

So how does it work? Simple ... I'll include detailed setup instructions right here.

1. Join Traffic Zipper

Of course, the first thing you need to do is join Traffic Zipper! It is free to join

Once you are registered and your account confirmed, you want to Login to your Traffic Zipper members' area and take a few moments to watch the Quick Start Video. The video is on the main page when you login.

2. Setup your system

Once logged in to Traffic Zipper, you will now need to spend some time and setup your system. This may take you awhile, so do plan to set aside some time to setup your Traffic Zipper account. It's in setting up your system that you will save countless hours every month!

a. Click on My Account- My Profile

Make sure your account information is correct and you list your payment information. Traffic Zipper will pay commissions to your Paypal or AlertPay account. All you need to do is enter your Paypal or AlertPay email address and select which method of payment you prefer. Simple check the box beside Paypal or Alertpay.

b. Setup My List Builders

Next, you are going to setup your ListBuilders and this is where it may take a bit of time. The first thing we are going to do is to define our list builders. This is REALLY COOL! Most programs that have a downline builder aspect simply include all the programs for your downline to view.

With Traffic Zipper, you can choose to list only those programs that you already belong to. The programs you have not joined will not be "active" for your ads to be sent.

By activating your list builders, you are setting the system up to be able to send your ads to the resources through Traffic Zipper. This will make more sense once we get to the advertising steps.

Ok, so let's start by checking the boxes of the List Builders you want to include in you mailing (be sure to check only the list builders that you are a member of as you will need to enter your login information and affiliate information for the system of each program - this is what will take time).

If you wish to join any of the programs listed, simply click on the link to join, then once you register and complete your setup in that program, come back here to check that progam as active.

Once you select the lists you are a member of, click on SAVE at the bottom of the page.

c. Manage My List Builder Details

In this section, you will see all the List Builders that you check in the section above. Any lists you did not join or you are not a member of, will not be displayed here.

Some things you need to know before starting:

Each program asks for a username, password and program ID. Quite often, your program ID is different from your login username. The system needs both. The username and password allow the system to login to your program to send an ad. The program ID allows new members to join under you through the Traffic Zipper program directly! (Another time saver).

Example, for ViralAdStore, my username is sykaro but my program ID is 22971. The 22971 is the ID that connects to my ViralAdStore affiliate site. If this is unclear to you, please contact me before proceeding as this information must be correct for the system to work for you.

When you have completed entering all your usernames, passwords and program IDs for your programs, you want to click SAVE at the bottom of the page. This will save all your ids.

REPEAT: You MUST Click SAVE to save your details in the system.

d. Setting up the Remote Downline Builder

Still in the My List Builders section, you will see a drop down menu called Remote Downline Buider. This is a section designed to help you build a downline in several traffic resources.

Like all programs, there is no requirement for you to join any of the programs. I recommend you simply enter your program IDS for each program that you are already a member of.

CAUTION: There are a LOT of programs on this list ... and I mean a LOT ... do not let this section intimidate you ... simply enter the program ids of the programs you already belong to.

If you are brand new to Internet Marketing, please join programs one at a time ... set them up, then enter your ids as you do this. Do NOT join all the programs at once ok?

e. Setting up your Rotators

This is a really fun part because this is where you can setup a rotator for your main programs. Click on Rotators, then setup your Site and Banner rotations. If you do not have multiple sites or banners, you can skip this section.

Follow the intructions on the page to add your links and banners.

f. Time to Send Mail

This is what the program is all about ... sending your mail to all your lists with the click of a button! Setup may take some time, but consider the time you will save sending your ads!

Click on Send Mail

You will be presented with a video you can watch to show you how to use the Send Mail feature. You will also be presented with a link to Check Mail Status On All Hosts

What this does is the system will go and check all your list programs and let you know which are eligible for sending mail.

Once the system lists your programs, you can check the ones you want to send to. The system will tell you which lists can be sent to and if it's not ready yet the system will tell you WHEN you can send.

Seriously, this is just SO NEAT and a great time saver.

Once you select which lists to send to, you simply enter your ad just as you would if you entered each program individually.

To send your ad, you need to put your link you will be promoting (this is for the credit based lists), your Subject and the Body of your email.

It's not every day that I am surprised by what I find, and after some poking and digging around .. that's exactly what happened ... I was excitedly surprised by the little Gold mine I found at Prosperity Rising.

As you know, I am very closely involved in the launch of GVO, Global Virtual Opportunities (I offer a live training call at GVO Academy every Thursday at noon). Through my involvement with the leaders at GVO, I happened across Keith Carberry and Peter Marshall's Prosperity Rising program.

Scroll down to Link Generator (we'll come back and discuss purchasing extra traffic).

You'll see an area that looks like this:

Enter a target website address

This is the web address of the website you want visitors to visit. To send people to my GVO website, I entered http://gvoprofit.com/janetlegere/video

You will put the entire web address, including http:// of the website you want to promote.

Enter a short description for the website (visitors will NOT see it)

This is purely for your convenience to be able to recognize which links are setup. For my GVO website, I put a description GVO Video.

What categories of ads do you want the generated link to deliver?
Choose all the categories that apply.

Use the CTRL key to choose multiple Categories.

My finished Link campaign looks like this:


Once you setup your links, you will find the details at the bottom of the page. This is where you can see the hits to your website.


You can see my campaign called "GVO Video" with 1 hit. You'll also notice a link I created for the Blog post you are visiting! I will post an updated snapshot after I send out this blog article. It will be interesting to watch the system work!

Now that your link is setup, you are ready to use the PR link in your advertising and promotions. Everytime someone clicks your PR link to visit your website, you will earn credits to be used throughout the PR system.

Yes ... that's right ... earning credits is a great way to build traffic.

Step Four - Setting Up Your Ads

As you earn credits in the system, or if you purchase credits, your credits will be used to send visitors to your Ad! Another Viral aspect of Prosperity Rising.

Setup your ad to direct readers to your Business or prospecting website. You can advertise your GVO link, New Rich Report link, Earth Friendly Biz link or even your Prosperity Rising Link (to sponsor PR members and earn more credits).

That's all you need to get you setup and maximizing this great new tool!

2. Setup the NOK Ad Rotator

Throughout the List Volta system, you can advertise your text ad and or banner ad. You will earn NOK credits by reading other member's ads and clicking other banners. Your credits can be used to submit your own text or banner ad.

To setup your NOK Ad, click on NOK Ad Rotator System.

Click on Ad New Campaign.

Select either Text or Banner ad.

3. Earning NOK Credits

It's easy to earn NOK Credits ~ as you earn credits you can use them to get traffic to your NOK ads!!

a. Click on sponsor ads in the members area
b. Read recent member ads
c. Contact new friends on Group Volta

4. Group Volta - the List Volta Social Network

Last but certainly not least, we talk about Group Volta. Much like other Social Networks, you can visit other member's profiles and add members to your own personal list in List Volta.

What's unique about this Social network is that you will earn credits for performing activities you do already!

From your ListVolta members area, click on the Group Volta icon. Near the top in the middle, you will see a link to Edit Group Volta profile.

Please spend some time here filling in the appropriate information. Visit my profile http://listvolta.com/groupvolta/sykaro and spend some time visiting other member profiles so you can set yours up to create your own brand.

Once your profile is setup, you can schedule time each day to submit your ads, click other member ads and add new friends on Group Volta. Remember, the more credits you earn, the more traffic you will create.

New Advertising Resources Bring Results

Advertising your website is one of the most important activities that you need to be doing on a regular basis.

This is something we MUST do on a regular basis .. Advertise in order to make contacts and sales!

It's also important that you are continually adding new resources to your advertising "portfolio" so that you are always putting your offer in front of new eyes.

With that in mind, my post today is about two new advertising resources that just arrived on the scene.

The first is a new program from the owners of Herculist. Herculist is one of those long term resources that I use everyday ... and I can tell you that Herculist members do read emails and do respond. I've sponsored many members of Herculist into my business over the years.

The new resource is really quite unique ... and familiar at the same time. List Volta ... a credit based list and social network.

Through the system, you can earn NOKs ... Credits for reading other opportunity ads ... it's really quite brilliant as it creates an active membership.

List Joe Sets the Standard

ListJoe is a great resource, in fact, it's likely my top pick for online marketing. ListJoe helps you advertise your business and helps you build your list at the same time.

It is important to stay focused and avoid the confusion that comes from clicking links. Setup your ListJoe system as directed below and focus on learning how to advertise your website. In the directions below, I use the EarthFriendlyBiz system as an example. You can easily adapt what is here to advertise any program or resource.

Remember, your audience is other online marketers ... new and seasoned and the best thing to do with these online marketers is to get them on your list so make sure, whatever you are advertising that your visitors can fill out a form to subscribe to your list.

Register for an account with ListJoe - it's free however, you will be met with a one time offer of $197 that is WELL worth the price. If you cannot afford the $197 there are very affordable options from as little as $27.

You want to have access to email as many ListJoe members as possible ... and an upgraded membership will do that for you.

Login to your ListJoe account with the username and password that you created when you joined ListJoe. If you don’t remember your login, you can request it be sent to your registered email address.

Remember, it’s important to stay focused on getting your system setup to take best advantage of the power of duplication offered through EarthFriendlyBiz.

2. Edit Your ListJoe Profile

Once logged into the ListJoe members’ area, click on Your Account. A drop down menu appears, scroll down and select Profile.

Update your information to include your list email and contact email as well, you want to include your Paypal email address so that you can receive your commission payments for members in your downline who upgrade at ListJoe.

NOTES: I’d like to explain the difference between a list email and a contact email and the Paypal email.

List email: this is the email address where you will receive the emails from other ListJoe members. By opening these emails and clicking the credit links included, you will earn credits. These credits can be redeemed to send your ad to a random sampling of ListJoe members based on your earned credits and membership level. I recommend a separate email address for your list emails so that you can easily create a message rule in your email program to sort emails from List Joe members.

Contact email: this is the email address where you will receive emails from ListJoe administration (emails from Jonah Klimack, owner of ListJoe). It’s important that you review administration emails to stay up to date on changes to the system, etc. Again, it’s wise to stay focused on your purpose which is to advertise your EarthFriendlyBiz website.

Paypal email: this is the email address where your ListJoe commissions will be paid. It’s important that you enter your active paypal email address.

Once you have updated your profile to include your contact information, click the Update profile button at the bottom of the page.

3. List Builders

This area houses the recommended lists that are effective for your online advertising. All are free to join and there is no requirement to join any of these lists.

There are 14 other lists presented in this section. I recommend that you enter the IDs for the programs you already belong to.

NEWBIE WARNING: Please heed this warning. If you are new to online marketing, please resist joining all those lists. The reason being that you will receive a LOT of email from those lists and until you understand email marketing and know how to manage all those emails (with message rules, etc) it’s best to avoid joining these.

As you become more comfortable with the process we are teaching, you can begin to add these lists to your advertising “portfolio”.

Once you have added the IDS you have ready, you are ready to advertise to the EarthFriendlyBiz site to ListJoe members.

4. Earning Credits

You will begin to receive emails from ListJoe members almost immediately upon joining. It takes just moments a day to open the emails and click the Credit links. Your ListJoe emails should be in a folder where you can easily access them.

HINT: Outlook Express users - To assist you in clicking the credit links, open the folder with your ListJoe emails then click on the Menu at the top of your screen select View, Layout, Show Preview Pane. This allows you to read the contents of the email without clicking it to open it. Scroll to the bottom where the Credit link is located and click the link. You must remain on the site for 20 seconds to earn credits. Once you have viewed all ListJoe emails and clicked the credits, remember to uncheck the preview pane.

5. Sending Your Ads

Now that you have earned some credits, we are now ready to send your ads to other ListJoe members. From the menu select Mailings then Send Mail.

You will be presented with a page that shows you how many credits you have earned and how many downline members are below you. If you are an upgraded member, it will show you how many random emails you can send as part of your membership.

Scroll to the bottom to enter your ad.

Under Spend Credits, enter the number of credits you have available that you are allowed to use.

Under Credit Clicking URL, enter the address of your EarthFriendlyBiz website ie: http://www.earthfriendlybiz.com/YOURID

6. Continued tasks

Daily: Open ListJoe ads and click the credit links to earn credits to send your ad to ListJoe members

Sending Ads: Depending on your membership level, you will have the ability to send ads to ListJoe members every 3 days up to once a week (free members). Make note on your calendar to send your ads out on the days that you are eligible. Consistent advertising is key to bringing results.

Alternative Subjects: Here are a few alternative subjects you may want to try, or make up your own. Use something pertinent to the ad above. The ad above is working well to generate leads to the system.
