Program Review: Viral URL

It’s important that you learn how to track your links when you are advertising online. ViralURL is a great resource that not only tracks your links but also hides the affiliate link so that others cannot “steal” your sales.

The purpose of this post is to introduce you to a very unique system and show you how I use the system and the results that come with use, this system is called ViralURL and is the brain child of Colin Klinkert & Frank Bauer, two very successful online marketers.

What is ViralURL?

ViralURL is a link cloaker as well as a link tracker.

What does that mean?

Let me explain.

Tracking is simple – it is a way to find out how many people visited your website. Tracking can tell you where your visitors came from as well as when.

Link Cloaking is a bit more complicated but necessary!

I am an active member with the Easy Video Producer (as most of you are) and our Affiliate URLs are somewhat awkward and easy to "steal" (someone can easily put another ID in or simply go to the main site and you would lose their contact). Here is what the main url looks like:

With ViralURL, I easily turned that link to this: http://vur.me/sykaro/evp

When your visitor clicks your tracking link, here is what they will see. They'll find a bar across the top, it's small and not invasive - I will discuss the power of this ViralBar later in this post - they will also see a link to join ViralURL to the right of the bar - I will discuss this later as well. Below the bar is my website. If you right click the site, you cannot find the information for it - there is no way to discover the original website address. Your link is safe and your visitors are secure. Not only does ViralURL protect your link, it also tracks your visitors ! This helps in deciding what advertising resources are working for you.

Ok ... so that's what ViralURL is and how it works, now let's talk about setting it up and using it effectively.

Setting up your ViralURL account

In this section, I'm going to take you through the steps of the areas that you need to setup. I am directing this article to my Easy Video Producer website so that you can easily duplicate what I'm doing here. You can also use this system to promote any website.

ViralBar Ads The ViralBar Ad is the bar you see at the top of my ViralURL cloaked link Once logged in to ViralURL, click on Ad Credit Section and click on Manage Bar Ads. Your level of membership will determine how many Bar Ads you can have displayed. For this lesson, you want to setup one Bar Ad so you can be using your system effectively right away.

Enter Ad URL 1 (start with http://): enter your website that you wish to advertise. In this exercise I entered

Enter Viralbar Ad text 1: Create a Video Lead Capture Page Free

Now my ad will be seen on the members' Viral Bar Ad. They will see the text Create a Video Lead Capture Page Free and it will be linked to my Easy Video Producer website.

Now here is what is really exciting about using ViralURL to cloak your affiliate links. When you advertise your ViralURL link and visitors click the link, the system tracks the hits for you and a percentage of visitors will join Viral URL to use the same system and a percentage of those new members will either take the One time offer, or they will upgrade to a monthly paid membership. When they do this, you earn a commission based on your level of membership.

Viral Email Ads Viral Email Ad are ads that show up at the top of members emails when they send emails through ViralURL. From your members area, click on Email Section, then click on Set Email Ad.

Now that your ViralURL system is setup, you are ready to start using it to advertise your lead capture blog.

Setting up Viral URL Cloaking link Click on Cloaking Section then Click on Add URL's: Click here to add new cloaking URL's Here is what you will find:

Page Title (Optional):
Enable Credits [?]:	Yes No
Viralbar to be placed at:	Top Bottom

Now let's talk about each section so you understand what to put here. In the first section, you place your Easy Video Producer website (or the website you want to advertise).

Example: http://www.easyvideoproducer.com/clickthru.php?id=144

The Keyword section is where you enter a "code" to let you know what this site is for. In my example, I'm using the keyword evp tells me the link I am promoting is my Easy Video Producer website.

Page Title: You can leave this blank

The next two sections default to yes (Enable Credits and Place the ViralBar).

I recommend you place the ViralBar at the top which is the default selection. You are now ready to save your Viral URL and begin advertising.

The VIRAL URL I created now looks like this:

http://vur.me/sykaro/evp

and when my visitors click that link, they are taken to my Easy Video Producer page and the system tracks the visitors to my site.

Program Review: AdClickMedia Generates Traffic and Sales

If you are looking for new ways to get your website seen then this post is for you. Today, I'm introducing you to AdClickMedia, a new PPC (Paid Per Click) advertising resource where you can get your site seen AND earn income from the traffic you are already generating.

This program gets my top pick for new Advertising resources and once you setup your account, you'll soon agree.

In this post, I'm going to show you how to setup your own Text ad as well, I'll show you how to put the AdClickMedia publishers code on your own blog. You can add it to any website and begin receiving clicks and cash.

One of the items I like best about AdClickMedia is that any income I earn through clicks on my site I can transfer to the advertisers section to pay for my own ads.

There are two ways AdClickMedia works for you. As an Advertiser, you can place your ads in the system much like you would at Google Adwords but for a lot less money and second, you can earn income as a Publisher by placing the AdClickMedia code on your website.

We are going to show you how to do both in this exercise.

First step, you need to register at the site to setup an account with AdClickMedia.

Once registered, you will login to your account to setup your ads and create your ad code for your blog or website.

Setting up your AdClickMedia account

1. Setting Up As An Advertiser

As an advertiser with AdClickMedia, you can setup your ads just like in Google Adwords and you can pay for clicks to your link. I use this service regularly to get a consistent stream of new members to my website.

From the main login window, you will see two options. One for Advertisers and one for Publishers. We will begin with the Advertising setup. So once logged in, click on Start Advertising under the Advertisers section on the left side.

We are going to begin with a photo text ad so click on Click here to start a text ad campaign.

HINT: There is a link to "Learn More" and I recommend you visit the link to get a better feel for how the Advertising works.

Ok, now let's setup an ad. I will be using one of the ads I setup for Earth Friendly Biz, you'll want to setup your ads according to your business that you are promoting.

We have two areas to complete, your Text Ad Contents and your Ad Target.

Here are the fields you need to complete:

Text Ad Contents

Add Image: (optional) View/Choose Existing Image | Upload New

If you do not have a graphic for your ad, you can leave this blank or consider uploading a picture or you!

Ad Headline: (Character Max - 55)

For this example, I used Creating Income From Home

Ad Body: (Character Max - 255)

For this example, I used Build a List of Paying Prospects for Your Business and Generate Multiple Streams of Income

Website Name: (Character Max - 25)

For this example, I used Earth Friendly Biz

Website URL:

For this example, I used http://www.earthfriendlybiz.com

Now we move on to complete the Ad Target area.

Ad Target

Channel Targeting: Target Specific Categories Choose 'All Categories' to make the Ad runs across the network.

In this example, because Earth Friendly Biz is generic and can be for anyone, I chose 'All Categories'

Geo-Targeting: Target your ads to specific Countries and Languages

In this example, because Earth Friendly Biz is available to anyone, I chose All Countries and Languages. You can target your ad to a specific country and language.

Pay Per Click Rate: $ What is the maximum amount are you willing to pay for each click on your ad? The higher your CPC bid, the more often your ad will be displayed. $0.20 USD minimum.

In this example, as I am testing, I chose the minimum of $0.20.

You can also check the highest click bid in your target category, however ... at .20 your ad will get clicked!

You can preview your ad in real time as you create it. You will see it previewed on the top right hand side of your screen.

Funding your account

Before your ad will be seen in the system, you need to fund your account. You can fund your account using your credit card. The minimum amount you can add to your account is $25.00, I recommend you start with $25 while in the testing phases.

2. Setting Up As A Publisher

Do you have a website or a blog? Nowadays, almost everyone has a blog of some sort. Now you can monetize your site.

In this section, I'll show you how simple it is to setup the code for your blog. In just 5 minutes, you can be earning from the traffic you already have!

Click on Home at the top menu, then click on My Publisher Account

Click on Create a Text Ad

Where is says 'Type in a new domain name below' enter your website or blog address.

ie: In this example, I entered http://janetlegere.blogspot.com; these directions below will show you how to add the AdClickMedia Text Ad Panel to your blog.

Click the Next Step Customize Your Ad Panel.

1. Ad Panel Name: (up to 100 characters) IE: janetlegere.blogspot.com (It lets me know what website my panel is located on).

2. Approved Domain Name of the website that is going to display AdClickMedia Ad Panel:
http://janetlegere.blogspot.com

3. Select your website's categories:
(You may select up to 3 categories for this ad panel.)

For this exercise, I chose All Categories

4. Default Ad: When there are no ads to display in your website category, this default ad will display in your AdClickMedia Panel.

As noted below, if you leave this area blank it will display your AdClickMedia affiliate link. If you want to add your own ad, here is an example for an ad for Earth Friendly Biz:

Default Ad Headline: Creating Income From Home
Default Ad Body: Free System Creates Paying Leads
Default Ad URL http://www.earthfriendlybiz.com

AdClickMedia Affiliate website will be displayed when there are no ads running. You can earn money by referring AdClickMedia to others. If you wish to display your own ad as a default, please edit the ad headline, ad body and URL above.

Next Step: Customize Your Panel

HINT: I recommend you accept the Panel Defaults until you see how the code will look on your site or blog. You can always come back to your Publisher's area and edit your Ad Panel.

Getting the code

Ok, for this part ... you will need to have two browser windows open and copy the code from one site and paste it on another.

First, let's get the code you'll need to add to your website. From the Ad Panel section, scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see the code. Highlight the code: place your mouse inside the text code box and press CTRL A to select all then press CTRL C to copy it into your memory (or you can paste it to a text file).

We now need to open your Blog in another window.

Open another tab in your browser (press CTRL T) and login to your Blogspot account at
http://www.blogspot.com and click on Customize to access the Layout section.

We are going to add an HTML Gadget to the sidebar of your blog, just as you see on my blog.

From the layout menu Select Add A Gadget.

Choose HTML/Java Script

This will open a new window with a Title Box and a Body Box. Leave the title bland place your mouse inside the body box. Press CTRL V to paste the code into the box. Then click Save.

You are all set to earn Paid clicks from visitors to your blog.

Program Review: Traffic Oasis

I can hear some of you already, gasping for breath, scratching your heads .. wondering ... Traffic Oasis?

Yes ... Traffic Oasis.

Traffic Oasis has been around since 2001 and I've been an active member since 2006. I can say from experience that the system works and the leads are responsive ... if you work the system and connect with the leads, if you are consistent in your efforts, then you will see activity from these leads.

It's like anything else ... if you join a program and do nothing ... guess what happens? Nothing happens.

Traffic Oasis is a great lead source (we always need more leads!) and in our Earth Friendly Biz system, I show our members 4 different ways to use their Traffic Oasis leads.

If you follow these methods and adapt them to your own business, you will see similar results.

Here are four ideas of ways to use Traffic Oasis leads:

1. Use the Traffic Oasis auto-responder

Direct the Traffic Oasis leads to the Earth Friendly Biz (EFB) website or to your own prospecting system. EFB is a free prospecting system where I teach my simple list building strategies.

I have a series of letters written to direct the Traffic Oasis leads to my Earth Friendly Biz program. If you are with EFB, you'll find the step by step directions in the back office.

You can adapt my method to work with your own system.

2. Import the Traffic Oasis leads to the GDI invite Filler.

GDI (Global Domains International) is a great program that has been around since 1999 and if you are a member of GDI, you can capitalize on the GDI invite section to invite your Traffic Oasis leads directly to GDI.

GDI is one of the main programs inside the Earth Friendly Biz system where we have complete step by step directions to use the GDI Invite process. Basically, you login to your website.ws members area and access the invite section where you can copy and paste 10 names at a time up to 100 a day.

If you ordered the 300 optin leads, you will have 3 days worth of leads to invite.

3. Import the Traffic Oasis leads to your personal auto-responder list.

I show my Earth Friendly Biz members simple steps to upload the Traffic Oasis leads to their EFB auto-responder to create more EFB members.

You can import Traffic Oasis leads to any auto-responder. If you use a professional auto-responder, you can either setup a list for these Traffic Oasis leads or import them directly to a list that you already have setup.

If you are an EFB member, the step by step directions are located in the back office (member's area)

4. Setup another Autoresponder series in Traffic Oasis and direct your leads to Traffic Oasis.

Traffic Oasis is a great program and part of their program includes three autoresponder lists. We showed you how to setp a list for Earth Friendly Biz or any other program and in this section we talk about setting up a second list.

Traffic Oasis offera a series of sales letters designed to attract your leads to Traffic Oasis. This is another way to activate these leads and generate interest ... not to mention you will generate a lot of income when your Traffic Oasis leads decide to join and upgrade in Traffic Oasis.

All the above are designed to get the attention of your Traffic Oasis leads.

I recommend doing one activity per week.

Week 1: import your leads directly to the Traffic Oasis auto-responder that you setup for Earth Friendly Biz or your own system.

Week 2: import your leads to your GDI invite system.

Week 3: import your leads to your personal autoresponder account

Week 4: import your leads to the second Traffic Oasis autoresponder to direct them to join Traffic Oasis

In Week 5, your new batch of leads should arrive and you can start the process all over. I recommend that you keep a journal so you know which step you have completed with your leads.

So as you can see, we are really maximizing these leads. Consider this ... some will respond to your Traffic Oasis emails, others will respond to the GDI invite and others will respond to the Earth Friendly Biz or your personal automated messages.

You will be maximizing these leads and creating activity in your Business and in your list!
