Simple Steps to Setting up ViralURL

Hello and Welcome!

The purpose of this post is to introduce you to a very unique system and show you how I use the system and the results that come with use, this system is called ViralURL and is the brain child of Colin Klinkert & Frank Bauer, two very successful online marketers.

What is ViralURL?

ViralURL is a link cloaker. What does that mean?

Let me explain.

I am an active member with the AdlandPro Community and our Affiliate URLs are somewhat awkward and easy to "steal" (someone can easily put another ID in or simply go to the main site and you would lose their contact).

Here is what the main url looks like:

With ViralURL, I easily turned that link to this:

http://viralurl.com/sykaro/adlandpro/

Go ahead and click the ViralURL link above so that you can see what happens?

Here is what you will see. You'll find a bar across the top, it's small and not invasive - I will discuss the power of this ViralBar later in this post - you will also see a link to join ViralURL to the right of the bar - I will discuss this later as well.

Below the bar is my website. If you right click the site, you cannot find the information for it - there is no way to discover the original website address.

Your link is safe and your visitors are secure.

Not only does ViralURL protect your link, it also tracks your visitors! This helps in deciding what advertising resources are working for you.

Ok ... so that's what ViralURL is and how it works, now let's talk about setting it up and using it effectively.

NOTICE: ViralURL is free to join and you can benefit from the system as a free member. If there is one program online that I recommend an upgrade in, it's ViralURL. Setting up your ViralURL account

In this section, I'm going to take you through the steps of the areas that you need to setup. I am directing this article to AdlandPro users so that you can easily duplicate what I'm doing here. For non users, you can edit the information with your business link and details.

ViralBar Ads

The ViralBar Ad is the bar you see at the top of my ViralURL cloaked link

Once logged in to ViralURL, click on Ad Credit Section and click on Manage Bar Ads. Your level of membership will determine how many Bar Ads you can have displayed. For this lesson, you want to setup one Bar Ad so you can be using your system effectively right away.

Enter Ad URL 1 (start with http://): enter your website that you wish to advertise. In this exercise I entered

Enter Viralbar Ad text 1: Connect With People Looking for You!

Now my ad will be seen on the members' Viral Bar Ad. They will see the text Get Responsive Leads for Your Business! and it will be linked to my ViralURL site

Now here is what is really exciting about using ViralURL to cloak your affiliate links.

When you advertise your ViralURL link and visitors click the link, the system tracks the hits for you and a percentage of visitors will join Viral URL to use the same system and a percentage of those new members will either take the One time offer, or they will upgrade to a monthly paid membership. When they do this, you earn a commission based on your level of membership.

Viral Banner Ads

Member's banner ads run at the bottom of the page in the ViralURL back office. Your banner is rotated among the other banners that are setup.

NOTE: If you do not have a banner, skip this step

Setting up your Banner Ad

Click on Ad Credits Section then click on Manage Banner Ads.

You will need to links. One link to your Banner graphic and one to your website that the banner will be linked to. Here is an example:

Viral Email Ads

Viral Email Ad are ads that show up at the top of members emails when they send emails through ViralURL.

From your members area, click on Email Section, then click on Set Email Ad.

Enter Text for line 1: Get Leads And Create

Enter Text for line 2 (optional): Responsive Prospects Calling You

Enter URL (start with http://): http://viralurl.com/sykaro/adlandpro/

Now that your ViralURL system is setup, you are ready to start using it to advertise your AdlandPro website.

Setting up Viral URL Cloaking link

Click on Cloaking Section

Click on Add URL's: Click here to add new cloaking URL's

Here is what you will find:

URL (start with http://):
Keyword (Optional):
Page Title (Optional):
Enable Credits [?]:	Yes No
Viralbar to be placed at:	Top Bottom

Now let's talk about each section so you understand what to put here.

In the first section, you place your AdlandPro URL (or the website you want to advertise).

Example: http://community.adlandpro.com/go/13207/welcome.aspx

The Keyword section is where you enter a "code" to let you know what this site is for. In my example, I'm using the keyword adlandpro which tells me the link I am promoting is my AdlandPro link.

Example: adlandpro

Page Title: You can leave this blank or enter 'Get Great Leads Here'

The next two sections default to yes (Enable Credits and Place the ViralBar).

I recommend you place the ViralBar at the top which is the default selection.

You are now ready to save your Viral URL and begin advertising.

The VIRAL URL I created now looks like this:

http://viralurl.com/sykaro/adlandpro and when my visitors click that link, they are taken to my Wowzza Website and the system tracks the visitors to my site.

Weekend Advertising Ideas

Weekends are a great time to advertise especially with great resources at your disposal.

For your convenience, I am listed my favourite and most responsive resources for you here. Choose the ones that fit with your budget.

We will begin with safelists, a fruitful resource when used regularly. The key to making safelist advertising effective is consistency. I make it a habit to advertise to all my resources 2 to 3 times a week as I have access.

My favourite safelist resources:

List Joe - the all time most responsive list available online today. This unique list service works for free or pro members. Free members simply click member ads to earn credits for viewing. Credits add up very quickly allowing you to send your add to a random sampling of members. Paid members can send to 3000 random members every 3 days.

MadVlad Safelist - definitely one of the top lists online. This credit mailer has a very active database. There is a free option and several paid options.

Business World List - long standing, large membership (over 70,000 members). Well managed and very active. They have an AdAnnounce feature that is highly effective. There are both free and paid memberships available. I recommend upgrading to gold to take advantage of mailing the entire database.

AdTactics - this responsive safelist has matured into a really great resource. Both free and paid memberships are available and the upgrade is most affordable.

Prospect Response - this unique, long standing advertising program has different resources to use including their famous Solo Ads

NOTE: When sending an ad to online lists, always use personalization codes if they are available. Business World List allows you to use the ~FIRSTNAME~ code. You would use this in the subject as well as the body of the email.

For the more experienced online marketer, one of the best Safelist Blasters is what we call the "Black Tie" of Submitters, iPostAd. This is one of the longest standing submitters and is well managed by Val and her crew.

CAUTION: When joining iPostAd, be certain to read and follow their directions exactly. If you don't, you could end up with an inbox full of email and a real headache to recover from. This system is not recommended for beginners.

Let's spend a little bit of time talking about Traffic Exchange programs. Yes, they really can be effective if used properly. The key to Traffic Exchanges is to take advantage of the credits you can earn.

Once you join the particular Traffic Exchange, you will need to login and add your website address to the exchange. As you earn credits, other exchange members will view and visit your website. My experience has shown that traffic exchange members tend to fill out forms so make sure you are advertising a lead capture page.

My favourite Traffic Exchanges:

TrafficSwarm - long standing very responsive exchange. Yes, it really does work. Upgrading is the best solution here.

MaxTrafficpro - very active exchange with responsive members. Affordable upgrades.

FreeTrafficBar - the ultimate in exchange services, this sits on your browser window and is unobtrusive. Works great!

Remember, the secret to making these resources work for you is consistency. Be certain to track your ads and check your results.

Practicing the Law of Attraction

I am a student of the Law of Attraction.

I am doing all I can every day to learn to master the Law of Attraction. I've come to realize that believing in the Law of Attraction and understanding the Law of Attraction come more easily than actively practicing the Law of Attraction.

My understanding of the Law of Attraction is simple ... I attract to me that which I think most about.

I understand the concept of changing our thinking and actively attracting to us what we need to achieve that which we are focused on. If your thoughts are focused on 'issues' in your life, then you are going to attract more 'issues'.

However. when you change your focus to abundance and you change your thoughts to what that abundance means for you, the universe replies with what you need.

"What you send out, you receive back" ... it is a universal law!

Will you recognize it every time? With practice ... you will recognize precisely what you need ... if you are looking for solutions to help you reach abundance, the universe will present them to you.

When you see what you want to achieve (picture it in your mind very clearly and feel it with great emotion) and you believe that the universe will provide what you need (without doubt, without judgement, true belief), all you have to do is be ready to receive what is brought to you.

And this is where it begins ... where it truly begins. As you begin to take action on the solutions that the universe brings to you, you begin to experience that which you asked for.

Action is the key.

believe it is ....
receive it openly....

When you recognize a negative thought creep in and you are pondering on those bills you need to pay and you think about how hard it is to find a business builder to sponsor ... stop ... smile ... be grateful and focus on your abundance. Think of that feeling ... summon it up from where it is and hold on to that feeling of abundance and happiness ... the universe will attract to that feeling of happiness and good energy.

You truly can attract anything you want ... with practice, your abundance is but a breath away.

Why do people quit?

Did you quit? Did you give up on your business? Did you decide "it doesn't work"?

With 8.5 years of experience behind me, I find myself reflecting on why people quit. There is a lot of material written on this subject. The message is similar - all the experts agree it exists - this trend to quit before one gets going.

I remember reading, years ago, that people tend to quit just at the corner of success.

I find some even get a taste of success and still quit.

Why? What makes a person "give up" or "change gears" just at that point of success?

There is really only one answer - Fear.

It's that simple. People are afraid, afraid of change, afraid to face the unknown. And while I can hear you saying, "I'm not afraid ... I really want to be successful", and if you are truly honest and listen carefully you will hear the fear inside you saying "Sure you want it BUT ....".

Success, to most, is a relative unknown. We all think we want it but reality is, we are scared to death of it.

Why is that? What is it people are afraid of?

Freedom? Does that scare you? The ability to make your own decisions? That's really what freedom means. Are you afraid of what money might do to you?

The real question is, how does one overcome that fear? What button does one push to turn it off? Reality is, we don't even know where the fear comes from so it's difficult to recognize and shut off.

So, how do you shut it off?

It's simple, really .... You BELIEVE and then TRUST!

You work on your belief every minute of every day until you "get it" and then you trust. That's it.

I will admit that I know this fear and facing it can be difficult ... but when you "get it", you will wonder what on earth you were ever afraid of!

When you truly understand the power you have to create whatever you want in your life, you will look forward to every moment of every day with anticipation and excitement.

You will welcome all the new that will come to you. You will become whatever you want to become, you will realize your dreams and more.

You will know and understand a freedom that is beyond words.

Ok, I can hear your burning question. Where do you start?

Everyone is going to find their favourite mentor or book or video or audio or whatever they need to help them release that fear and learn to believe and trust.
