Getting Back To Basics

It's December now ... for some, they may say it's going to start to quiet down online. Some will say this is a slow time for prospecting.

Some will even go so far as to say it's difficult to find new members this time of year.

The truth is ... they are right if that is what the believe.

Experience has taught me otherwise. Experience has taught me that December can be one of the busiest times of year for prospecting, especially on the Internet.

This is the time of year that people are actively looking for a way to get out of their situation. A way to pay for all the Christmas presents they are going to charge on their credit cards.

People want more ... and you can help them. How do you find these people? Well, I found that getting back to basics this time of year is best.

Start with your list ... who do you know that is looking to create a better life for themselves. Who, in your circle of online acquaintances has been listening yet not taking action.

Think about all those people you connected with in your online communities such as AdlandPro, Direct Matches, MySpace, FaceBook ... to name just a few.

Think about how you have been approaching these individuals and consider doing something different. Find out what they are looking for and then show them how you and your company can help them get it.

I decided to get back to basics two weeks ago and I began generating and prospects using a method I've been teaching for the past 8 years but haven't actually used personally for sometime.

In just 15 days, I generated close to 300 new active prospects and sponsored 6 new business builders into my business.

I'm continuing to add 10 to 30 new people a day to my contact list ... these are people I can followup with and talk to ... people just like you.

In fact ... some of you reading this post may have recently arrived on my list and may have arrived here via the basic invitation method I'm speaking of. Chances are that you even joined our primary business :-)

The point is this ... this is not a quiet time of year online, in fact ... it has always been a traditionally busy time of year. There may be fewer people "hanging" around online, but the people who ARE online ... are active.

These are the people YOU want to sponsor into YOUR business.

So, as you sit here contemplating what you will do this December ... consider making yourself visible ... get into the online communities and make friends ... find people with a common interest who you'd like to work with and invite them to see what you are doing. Find some new ways to generate prospects.

Most importantly ... make this December a December to Remember as we move into 2008.
